The department of Physical Education was established in 2007. The department currently consists of 13 faculty member and 5 supporting staff members.

In the department above 50 students are enrolled every year for Bachelor degree (B.P.Ed.). The department is well equipped with various apparatus and compulsory equipments required for physical training of the student.Computing & library facilities are well maintained in the department.

The Master degree program (M.P.Ed.) was proposed in year 2009 under self financed scheme, in which 30 students supposed to be enrolled every year. The departmental library consists of 5000 books, 200 reference books and 15 periodicals/journals.

The department is planning to initiate M.Phil. program. The students are encouraged to organize and participate in seminar and workshops. The Department is also planning to provide proper exposure to the students so as to enable them to participate in National and International sports meet.
